In today's fast paced world listening seems to be a lost art.  Perhaps it was never an art, somehow things have changed over the past 20 years.  People have a difficult time waiting to share their opinion or idea, whether it is anonymously online or through verbal interruption in person.  This affects the way we communicate and understand.

The simple task of creating a listening strategy creates better communication and understanding.  Coupled with an ability to ask good questions we are on our way to a solid communication platform.  Obviously every person and every situation is different and success for one is not the same as success for another.

Asking good questions shows respect and an understanding of the subject matter.  Questions should create clarity, be thought provoking and set the parameters for a good working relationship.
